Section I of the CCRI tasked a small working group to report on the implementation of the recommendations of ICRU Report 90 on Key Data For Ionizing-Radiation Dosimetry: Measurement Standards And Applications. This working group reported to the meeting of Section I in June 2017 and there was unanimous approval of the review document regarding adoption of the ICRU recommendations. However, although there was approval from a technical perspective it was recognized that not all delegates had the authority to commit their institution to implementing the changes, scheduled to take place on 1 January 2018. A CCRI request for institutional approval is awaiting formal replies. It is important that all institutions commit to these important changes on a common timescale so that standards remain aligned and communication to users regarding the impact of the changes can be coordinated.
